The agreement between you and Activora when you use our platform — your rights, your responsibilities, and how the marketplace works.
Last updated: June 2025 · Version 1.1
By registering on Activora you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Activora platform (“Platform”) operated by Activora (“we”, “us”) at activora.co.uk. By registering you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
Activora is a marketplace that connects independent activity instructors with organisations and providers who need them. We facilitate introductions and communication — we are not a party to any engagement, contract, or arrangement made between instructors and providers through the platform.
We reserve the right to update these Terms. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Each person may hold one account. You may register as an instructor, a provider, or both — each role has a separate profile. You are responsible for:
You may not create accounts on behalf of third parties without their explicit consent. Automated account creation is prohibited.
By creating an instructor profile you agree to the following:
This section covers the handling of sensitive professional data on the platform. Please read it carefully.
Instructors may add professional qualifications and certifications to their profile (for example NGB awards, coaching licences, first aid certificates). By adding these you confirm that:
Activora does not independently verify qualifications. Providers are responsible for carrying out their own verification before engagement. Activora's “Verified” badge indicates a paid Pro subscription, not verification of qualifications or identity.
Instructors may declare that they hold an Enhanced DBS check on their profile. This is a self-declaration only. By declaring DBS status you confirm it is accurate at the time of declaration. You agree to update your status promptly if your DBS status changes.
Activora does not store DBS certificate numbers or certificate content, and does not conduct DBS checks. Providers must not rely solely on an instructor's self-declared DBS status on Activora. Providers engaging instructors to work with children or vulnerable adults are legally responsible for ensuring appropriate safeguarding checks — including independent DBS verification — are completed before engagement, in accordance with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and any applicable sector guidance.
Instructors may declare that they hold public liability insurance. This is a self-declaration only. Activora does not verify insurance policies. Providers are responsible for confirming adequate insurance coverage with instructors directly before engagement.
By creating a provider account you agree to the following:
Providers may post role listings (“Roles”) describing instructor opportunities. By posting a Role you confirm that:
Instructors may apply for open roles through the platform. Applications are visible to the provider who posted the role. Activora does not guarantee that any application will receive a response.
Roles may be subject to posting limits depending on your subscription plan. Free trial accounts are subject to a 14-day trial period after which a paid subscription is required.
The platform includes a messaging system that allows instructors and providers to communicate directly. Use of messaging is subject to the following:
Activora does not routinely monitor message content but reserves the right to review messages where a complaint is made or where we have reason to believe these Terms are being breached. Misuse of messaging may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Provider subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Instructor Pro subscriptions are also billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
Payments between instructors and providers for services rendered are entirely outside the scope of this platform and are the responsibility of the parties involved. Activora does not handle, process, or take any fee from instructor payments.
You agree not to:
Breach of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination without notice and may be referred to the relevant authorities.
You retain ownership of content you post on the platform (profile text, photographs, messages, role descriptions). By posting content you grant Activora a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content to other users of the platform for the purpose of operating the service.
You are responsible for ensuring:
We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these Terms without notice.
Activora is a marketplace and introduction service. We are not an employer, employment agency, or party to any engagement between an instructor and a provider. We make no warranty as to the quality, safety, suitability or legality of any services arranged through the platform.
Providers are solely responsible for: verifying instructor qualifications and DBS status independently; ensuring appropriate safeguarding; complying with health and safety law; and determining whether an instructor is suitably qualified for their specific role.
Instructors are solely responsible for: the accuracy of their profile; maintaining valid qualifications, insurance and DBS checks; and complying with the terms of any engagement they accept.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Activora's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the subscription fees paid by you to Activora in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting contact@activora.info. Closing your account will cancel any active subscription at the end of the current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms, including but not limited to: misrepresentation of qualifications or DBS status; harassment of other users; fraudulent activity; or persistent violation of our conduct rules.
On termination, your profile is removed from public view. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Activora regarding your use of the platform.
